Microsuction

Microsuction is now considered the gold-standard method for ear wax removal and also one of the safest methods to clean the ear.

Microsuction ear wax removal is highly effective and the safe method for removing ear wax blockages. It involves using a low-pressure machine with a suction tube to gently remove any excess ear wax, debris and infection in the ear.

Microsuction will allow you to regain clear hearing and get instant relief from ear wax blockages.

Water Irrigation

This procedure has replaced the old-fashioned technique of ear syringing.

As it is more effective and safer to perform. Usually, the procedure takes between 15-30 minutes. This depends on how deep the ear wax is inside the ear, the amount, and the type of ear wax. For best preparation, I recommend using olive oil drops 3 to 4 days before the appointment. This allows the ear wax to soften.

I do not undertake this procedure on patients with perforation and mastoid cavity. In addition, to those who had ear surgery within the last 18 months, or had an ear infection in the past 6 weeks.

Manual Removal

If I determine manual removal is suitable for your specific situation, I will use tools such as a Jobson Horne and Alligator Forceps to carefully lift and remove the wax.

This process is usually quick and is designed to be as comfortable as possible.
